Michael MacNeill
Owner, Architect, OAA

Layer Architecture is owned and operated by Michael MacNeill, OAA, a licensed architect with a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree from the University of Toronto. Before founding Layer Architecture, Michael ran MacNeill Design Services, providing design, drafting, and building permit services for numerous residential renovations, additions, new constructions, and commercial interior projects. With over a decade of experience running this businesses and working for various architects across Toronto, his past roles include projects with CannonDesign, Amantea Architects, DesignSHFT, Wayne Swadron Studios, and EVOQ Architecture, specializing in new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation.
